In this jewelry web design the content management system has some unique features. As a result of our client wanting these featurs we had to use custom programming.  For instance, the owner has more than one way to change jewelry prices. He may want to change the price of just one item.  If a lot of prices need to be changed then a spreadsheet can be uploaded with the changes. Also, expensive metals are used in the manufacturing of jewelry. Consequently, the ring size will make a difference in the selling price of the ring.

We offered a custom made solution to adjust prices based on the size of the ring. As a result, the owner is able to add on an additional amount for each ring size and half size. The additional amount will be set based upon the metal used in the ring. A ring can be purchased in which the client selects gold or platinum for example. Then they will see different prices depending upon the metal selected and the ring size. When people use some off the shelf shopping cart system they are stuck with little more than showing a picture and a price. We also created a customer relationship management system which automatically follows up on customers. For example, two weeks prior to an anniversary or birthday the website will send the customer a reminder and let them know that they still have time to select a gift.

If you don’t need custom features like these then you may want to look at a simpler solution. We don’t have to do custom programming unless there is something specific you want.
