Sometimes a Magento, Joomla or even a WordPress ecommerce solution will work. This website is an example of custom programming used in ecommerce web development. Our client wanted some specific features on this site that didn’t exist in any other platform.  That’s why we had to use custom programming. When we built this site we didn’t have WordPress or Magento. As a result of us working with custom programming since 1995; complex functions have never been a problem for us.

We have built online stores with some unique functions. One example was for the sale of perishable products that could only be shipped next day air in a Styrofoam container packed with dry ice. We used custom programming to check the date and time an order was placed. Then if an order came in after the shipping deadline Thursday the site would give the buyer options. For instance, it would ask if they want to pay extra for shipping Friday with a Saturday morning delivery. The other option was to have the products ship Monday to arrive Tuesday.

Our ad agency has taken Ecommerce web development to the next level. We have created an e-commerce platform that is loaded with features and very affordable. Instead of buying the website you just pay for the use of the platform. Just as golfers don’t need to buy a golf course, they just bring their clubs.
